I have finally been set free of the caffeine addiction! On Monday (day 8), I no longer had the headaches. What a relief this was! It was like a complete 180. I never thought that I would get to that point anytime soon after all the reviews I had read. This was one of the best moments because I wanted to give up just to make the headaches go away. I am thankful that I had people around me to help me stay strong.

 

I can’t believe that I have reached 10 days already. I (we) are halfway there with the fast being over! But I also feel that it has gotten so much harder mentally. Mentally I am over all of it and just want a nice hot cup of tea and a chocolate chip cookie…can you smell the fresh baked cookies right now…. ok ok, no temptations! 🙂

 

At this point, I think my body has adjusted to what I’ve been eating and is slowly trimming down. Today, my trouser seem to have fit a whole lot better, or did it? I have not measured the inches around my waist yet but I do feel a small difference. Tomorrow (Friday) will be my second weigh in for the weight loss challenge at work and I hope there will be at least a 1lb difference. I also, have not been able to do my 3x a week workout but Monday I took a 3 mile walk and today will be 30 minutes of cardio. We are getting there, just 10 more days!

 

New lunch item: Quinoa

 

Foods

Breakfast: Same (Eggs and corn tortilla)

Lunch: Quinoa, Rice, corn, eggs and avocados, baked plantains, mashed potatoes (or some combination of this on the daily)

Dinner: Soups, plain Cereal w/almond milk, rice, beans and corn tortillas with egg

 

Inspiration: Coworkers who keep telling me NO when I want to give up and encourage me on to the finish line. I want to encourage you to tell those around you so that they can help support & encourage you during this time.
